Reading about the blender incident reminds me of my accident a few days ago. I put the cast iron skillet in the oven to heat something. I took it out and set it on the stove to cool. Then about 15 minutes later it being in the way went to move it forgetting that it was still hot. It went to the floor, fortunately didn't break any floor tiles. Which is funny looking back at it that I was more concerned about the floor than my hand. Which was just a little scorched as the oven had only been on warm.
